"I signed on to First Home because I liked the phone talk with Rob. I was not ever told all would be only electronic and I would never be face to face with him or anyone. I met a receptionist at the Annapolis office when I came with my papers expecting to meet with Rob or J. Cannon .He was usually available by phone. I am not schooled in the new electronic signing of hard to read fine print papers on line Nikki Preto on his staff was very supportive on the phone which I appreciated. I never met a human until the settlement agent. All in all it was a very impersonal transaction for an elderly woman. Yeah I know it is the modern age and all business, but I was disappointed."

"I have used Mr. Schurr and his team twice, when I purchased and when I refinanced. The most recent REFI was absolutely painless and easy to get done. I called Mr. Schurr and let him know that I was considering a REFI since rates were at historic lows and he was able to pull up my old file and advise me on my options. After deciding to continue the REFI process his team was quick with getting me all the necessary documents and I was able to send them back electronically (no need to try and find a fax machine in 2020). From there, his team did their magic. He made sure to reach out and keep me apprised of where things were and what the next steps would be. Even the day before closing he worked to make sure everything was good to go. I am glad to have found Mr. Schurr and his team -- they took all of the confusion out of the process and made things as easy as possible. I have talked with many people in the area who have used Mr. Schurr and his team, since he's been in the business for a while a lot of people know him and everyone else I know had a positive experience and he is always highly recommended and highly respected."

The irony is the lien was from the previous owner so it was not picked up and taken care of. Was it the Parsons firms fault since they were the original settlement company OR was it in the hands of First Home? This we do not know but it was resolved but we had to spend a lot of time in Wilmington DE waiting for the resolution."
