Mike got his start in lending as a loan officer with National City Mortgage. In 2009, Mike moved to First Home Mortgage and was chosen to start the Millersville Branch. A native of Maryland, Mike is passionate about the mortgage business. He is beyond knowledgeable with FHA, VA and Conventional guidelines. "This was a more challenging mortgage because it was sale by owner, so no RE agents were involved to buffer the finance back end process. And the seller was out of state. Mr Taylor put together an awesome team of finance and title company all of whom worked through each challenge with positivity and professionalism. Interestingly the ratifying of the contract took the longest because of the seller's schedule and distance, but in the end we still settled on the original date planned. I'm very happy with Mike's performance and the performance of the whole team! And I'll be calling on him again in the future."

"Working with Mike was great, unfortunately it was not the same experience with the rest of the staff. Several times we were asked to sign things online only to find our passwords did not work. Instead of addressing the error we had to print, sign and scan. I questioned the password and received a snarky answer with my social security numbers. It's a stressful time to work with someone you aren't comfortable with just adds to that. In addition to this day we have not received any correspondence from the mortgage company. We paid the mortgage using the coupons given to us in our settlement packet. It would have been nice to have some follow up to ensure things were on track. Sadly it's the worst mortgage experience we have had. We have traditionally used credit unions and I think we have learned a valuable lesson. In hindsight probably should have reached out to Mike the minute we had issues but not sure what would have made a difference. We are more than happy to provide additional information if asked but honestly just trying to move on. "
