"First impressions are everything. Broker was 30 minutes late to our first scheduled meeting to get pre-approved. Poor communication and explanations to a first time home buyer throughout the process. Excuses and lack of accountability throughout. Even right down to sitting at the closing table with my wife, expecting to see her name on the deed to sign,which was previously agreed upon by all parties, but not the case in reality. I will now need to spend additional money and time to officially add her. In the end, if we were not in a worldwide pandemic, if the sellers would have allowed it, and not moved out of state needing to complete the transaction, and my wife not 50 days from giving birth to our first child, I would have seriously explored killing the deal with First Home and going to someone else. Even if it cost me more money. However, I felt trapped and needed to move forward. In the end, I have no one to blame but myself for choosing First Home. It is unfortunate, that the hardest lessons in life are learned at the end, and that it is not what people say or do that is remembered, It is how you make them feel. You can re-read this to get a sense of how we feel."
