John Cruz is a Loan Originator with First Home Mortgage in the Annapolis branch. A lifelong Maryland resident raised in Howard County, John earned his degree in Kinesiology & Exercise Science from The University of Alabama. For more than a decade, John worked in sales for medical device companies Zimmer Biomet and GE HealthCare, where he developed a reputation for building trust and guiding clients through complex, high stakes decisions. That experience sharpened his ability to communicate clearly, analyze details, and deliver solutions tailored to individual needs. Today, John applies those same skills as he helps clients achieve their dream of homeownership while also making the loan process as smooth and stress free as possible. John resides in Sykesville, MD with his wife Joanie and their two sons. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family or out on the golf course.
