About Jake Waltz
Jake Waltz is a Mortgage Loan Originator with First Home Mortgage’s Chevy Chase office, working with homebuyers throughout Maryland, Washington, D.C., and Virginia. Jake grew up primarily in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, before attending Penn State, where he earned a degree in Civil Engineering with a focus in structures. After graduating in 2022, he began his career in Baltimore as a structural engineer with KCI Technologies, working on bridges and transportation structures. That engineering background continues to shape the way Jake approaches mortgage lending: with careful analysis, clear communication, and strong attention to detail. He enjoys helping clients understand the numbers behind their mortgage options so they can make informed decisions throughout the homebuying process.
