"Working with Ingrid Rapavy was a disappointing experience, at best. I looked forward to working with a smaller lender to get more of a personal experience, though I did not get that with Ingrid. Ingrid was responsive to me, but each response seemed to lack actual thought or answer specific questions that I had throughout the lending process. Her communications seemed more of a check-the-box, 'I answered that email' than responses from someone who was there to help me navigate the mortgage process. I felt that I had to drive much more of the process than she did, a theme that continued up until the actual day of closing. Four days prior to closing, I asked for the final figures so that I could plan for closing. Regulation states that lenders are required to give these numbers 72 hours in advance of closing, though she did not, and then had to seek my approval to waive this right when she finally provided me the estimate, less than 20 hours before closing. The icing on the cake is that the form I had to sign put the blame on me and said that I was waiving my right because I refused to move my closing date. I alerted her on a Monday, only to have her follow up with me late on Thursday, when she requested that I immediately sign a form waiving this right for my closing on Friday. A bit insulting to put the blame on me, no? I then had to scramble to my bank to get funds for closing in the last hour they were open prior to my Friday morning closing. This could have been avoided, and all it did was cause more stress for me in a time where it wasn't needed. I never actually got instructions on how to make my first mortgage payment, either. I had to follow up with someone else on her team to figure that one out. Overall, I do not recommend working with Ingrid and I truly hope that others never have to."
