"I was doing the mortgage application and follow-up work from Florida....It was difficult to produce the paperwork they required after the initial application when I had to move 2 times in Florida waiting for the model home I was purchasing to be released for me to move in...I thought they (the processors) were too severe with investigating deposits into my checking accounts...I had to send papers supporting small deposits of approx $250, etc....As I said, locating the paperwork when I had to move twice was difficult and I had to spend a lot of time searching thru papers....What if I were totally electronic with all my banking....What if I had not saved receipts, etc???? For a $50,000 loan on a $300,000 house...it was ridiculous, I think........Thanks for listening"

"I experienced constant inconsistent transmission of information and inaccurate communication throughout the home buying process. Also, I was forced to pay a late fee for a bill that I was required to pay at closing, despite me providing Derek with the statement and due date a week before the bill due date. My bill payment was not held responsibly, and after paying increased closing cost and a bill balance in full that was brought up at the last minute, I was slammed with a 50.00 late fee after closing. I will not be referring Derek or Main Street Loans to any friends or family."

"Was really nice until he got our business and even said they would give some off at closing to match the competition. When I brought this up later he basically said look you already have a great rate (my credit is excellent and I could have gone with anyone). By that time it was too late. I would email a question to the office and i woukd get a reply that he would call and he never would. I finally called his cell and when I did get in touch he was short in his answers, treated me like my questions were not valued, and told me that I was just one of many people trying to get my loan closed. At closing it was more than $1400 more than the closing doc I signed. I did not even get a courtesy call letting me know about the big surprise. I would never recommend them."

We ultimately went with them because the sellers of the house wanted to close quickly and we were promised main st could close in time. After we signed paperwork Derek Evans ignored me on two separate occasions. Once via text and once via email. Other people from main st we're asking us for documents that needed a wet signature two days before closing. I felt uncomfortable signing some of the things they asked us to sign. We are actually selling our house with a company NOT affiliated with main st home loans specifically because our experience was so bad. "
