"I would literally give 0 stars but that is not an option. I can tell you I will never be using First Home ever again and I will NOT recommend them to anybody. I had an absolutely horrible time dealing with First Home Mortgage. Our original loan officer messed everything up and they failed to communicate with us to let us know and randomly assigned us a new loan officer, Ayazhussein Rahemanji. I never spoke once to him, besides his customary bs emails that are pushed out by hitting auto send. I spoke with Amanda Chronister for the majority of this loan process, while she was pleasant, the company as a whole really suck at communicating. Any time my partner or realtor would call the company to receive answers they would just bs some answer and wouldn't tell them what was going on, they only seemed to speak to me directly and inform me of the details and that would require me to reach out constantly to find out what was going on. They were extremely unorganized asking me to send files multiple times that I had already sent and uploaded to them. I honestly, don't know how this company functions or is even able to complete any loans for anyone. It is my greatest pleasure to share my experience in hopes that no one else ever falls victim to their atrocious service."

"The First Home team has been excellent to work with. They help navigate the process of document collection and addressing items the underwriters may question, keeping it simple or coming up with alternatives when the obvious isn't available. The only issue I have with this recent refinance was that the net benefit of the refi didn't materialize. We had to pay off a 2nd mortgage with a personal loan, which resulted in a higher interest rate and payment in that loan, wiping out the savings of the refi. My fault in not stopping the process, but something, as an advisor, I'd hoped Ayaz would have pointed out. No blame, just an observation because I trust Ayaz's knowledge and view of this market and it's impact on my personal finances."
